From the very beginning of production, we focus on sustainability – reducing energy and resource consumption wherever possible.
Through our customer-specific manufacturing, we minimize material waste already during the production of semi-finished products. Less waste not only means lower costs for our customers but also a significantly improved CO₂ footprint. Going forward, we will implement this principle even more consistently – with our own Competence Center for Recycling & Sustainability.

Circularity
Recycling in two dimensions
We foster two ways of recycling:
Mechanical Recycling:Plastic residues are reused for new semi-finished products without altering the molecular structure – energy-efficient and material-conserving.
Chemical Recycling: Together with partners such as BASF, we are developing new PA6 types from chemically recycled feedstocks that retain 100% of the original’s technical properties – delivering top performance with maximum sustainability.
These technologies are already partly in use and are being continuously expanded.

Biobased Materials Innovation from Nature
Zell Materials continuously invests in the development of innovative materials based on renewable raw materials – for example, a bio-based plastic that combines excellent technical properties with sustainable origin. Depending on the formulation, it can replace non-degradable plastics and contribute to environmentally friendly disposal at the end of the product life cycle.
