ZELLAMID^® 1500 X MG is a high-performance material based on PEEK (polyetheretherketone) in medical grade quality, designed for demanding applications in direct or indirect patient environments.

The material is engineered for repeated sterilization and retains its mechanical and electrical properties even under continuous thermal exposure up to 260 °C. It is resistant to steam sterilization (autoclave), ethylene oxide, and gamma irradiation. Its very low moisture absorption ensures excellent dimensional stability – even under cyclic temperature and humidity conditions.

ZELLAMID^® 1500 X MG is manufactured from Victrex^® PEEK raw material and is USP Class VI certified. In addition, the material complies with food contact requirements according to FDA and EU 10/2011. Its inherent flame retardancy (UL 94 V-0) and low smoke emission enhance safety in sensitive environments.

Typical applications: Surgical instruments and reusable components (handles, insulation parts, guide elements), Implant-related components and trial implants (e.g., spinal cages, spacers – depending on regulatory strategy), components for dialysis and analytical equipment, insulation and structural parts in medical devices, semiconductor and cleanroom applications with elevated purity requirements, and more.
