ZELLAMID® 1500 XC20 offers excellent dimensional stability under temperature and humidity fluctuations, as well as high form stability in continuous service up to 260 °C. The ceramic filler enhances stiffness and electrical insulating properties without significantly affecting toughness or machinability.
Compared to PAI, ZELLAMID® 1500 XC20 exhibits significantly better hydrolysis resistance, enabling reliable use in humid environments or under repeated steam sterilization. In contrast to conventional ceramic materials, this plastic offers lower weight, higher impact strength, and fracture-resistant processing while maintaining high dielectric strength.
ZELLAMID® 1500 XC20 is particularly suitable for high-load, insulating components in semiconductor technology, medical technology, vacuum technology, analytical equipment, and electrically sensitive machine parts.
