ZELLAMID® 1500 XTW is a PFAS-free, tribologically optimized PEEK grade developed for demanding sliding and wear applications. The material combines very low friction with high wear resistance and long-term dimensional stability, making it suitable for components that must perform reliably under continuous mechanical and thermal load.
Designed for moving parts exposed to sustained stress, ZELLAMID® 1500 XTW helps reduce friction, extend service life, and improve operating reliability. Typical applications include bearing bushings, slide guides, rollers, slide plates, and other tribological components in mechanical engineering, conveying systems, and precision equipment.
The PFAS-free formulation of ZELLAMID® 1500 XTW may also become increasingly relevant for components used in food-processing and adjacent food-contact environments, as EU regulation is moving toward tighter control of PFAS in packaging and other sensitive application areas. This gives OEMs and processors an opportunity to combine proven tribological performance with a material choice that is better aligned with future regulatory developments.
