ZELLAMID® 1500 X is a high-temperature resistant engineering material based on PEEK, designed for applications with extreme requirements for dimensional stability, load-bearing capacity, and chemical resistance.
The material withstands continuous operating temperatures up to 260 °C and remains dimensionally stable even under long-term thermal stress. It is resistant to hot water, steam, ionizing radiation, and a wide range of aggressive media. Its electrical insulating properties are maintained even at elevated temperatures.
ZELLAMID® 1500 X meets the requirements for food contact in accordance with FDA and EU 10/2011. It is classified as flame-retardant according to UL 94 V-0 and produces only low smoke and gas emissions in the event of fire.
Typical applications are found in aerospace, medical technology, mechanical engineering, as well as in the semiconductor and food industries – wherever conventional engineering plastics reach their limits.
We use raw material from Victrex.
