ZELLAMID® 1400 is a PET with high dimensional stability, low wear, and high stiffness – ideal for moving and precise machine parts.
The material remains dimensionally stable even under changing humidity conditions, thanks to its very low water absorption. It combines a low coefficient of friction with high wear resistance, low creep under load, and a high modulus of elasticity. Its resistance to acids is superior to that of polyamide (PA) or POM.
ZELLAMID® 1400 is food-approved according to BfR, FDA, and EU 1935/2004 and is manufactured without core porosity.
Typical applications include bearings, bushings, gear components, cam switches, guide rails, piston pump parts, valve housings, filter rails, insulating parts, and complex functional components in conveying, filling, and automation systems.
